School Admissions - Online Applications

The School Admissions Team allocate all school Nursery and Reception class places - for further details on the admissions process including admission criteria, catchment areas, appeals etc please follow this link to Staffordshire County Council website.  School Admissions will not be issuing application forms as the Service is keen to provide a paperless system in all its admissions processes wherever possible.  This also gives details if you wish to apply for a mid-year transfer but we would request that you contact the school first.

The Reception (September 2017) admissions closed on 15th January - please contact SCC if you have not applied for a place.  Staffordshire County Council will offer places on 18th April.

The Nursery admissions process is now open and closes on 5th March 2017.   Staffordshire County Council will offer places on 8th May.  For further details of how to apply for a Nursery place at our school please follow this link to Staffordshire County Council Admissions

  • Monday 27th February

They will all start at 10.30am prompt and last for around an hour.  If you wish to attend could you please contact the school (01785 354620) to reserve a place.

Nursery Education

Children are admitted to Nursery according to the Local Education Authorities Admission Policy, in the September of the year they reach four.

Children join Oakridge Nursery at the beginning of the Autumn Term (in September) following Home Visits from staff. The maximum number of children for the Nursery session is 26. Nursery provision is three hours per day; 8:45am to 11:45am. This provides the 15 funded hours. Wrap around care is also available from Little Oaks, our in–house care provider from 11:45am onwards.

Children who are unable to attend the morning session in the Oakridge School Nursery are able to access Little Oaks after the nursery session has finished. This service is available as soon as your child is 3 years of age, but funding would not be available until the first term after their third birthday. For example if your child was 3 in November they could attend Little Oaks as soon as they had turned 3 but payment would be required until the end of that term; funding is available at the start of the next term in January.

The school Governors intend to offer the full 30 hours Nursery provision in September 2017 but are still awaiting further clarification from the LEA.  Further information is available here

More information on times and prices are available in the Wrap around Care section of the website.

Primary Education - Reception

If you are considering applying for your child to attend Oakridge Primary School, please join us for one of our Open Mornings. Current admission numbers for the school are 30.
