Visits to School

Prospective parents are welcome to visit school prior to their child starting school.  However, we are currently unable to offer this facility but once we are able to schedule some visits they will be shown below.

Please note that an evening induction meeting for parents takes place in the summer term prior to your child starting school. The meeting gives you the opportunity to ask any questions or highlight any concerns that you may have.  Children joining our Nursery and Reception classes will also be invited to attend morning Induction sessions at the end of the summer term prior to them starting in the September.

Open Mornings

We hold Open Mornings for prospective parents of Nursery and Reception children; this is a chance to meet the Headteacher, have a tour of the school with a chance to ask any questions.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have had to postpone our Open Mornings this year.

The Open Mornings have been postponed - please keep checking our website for re-arranged dates.

If you wish to attend could you please contact the school (01785 337300) to reserve a place.

Additional dates will be offered for prospective Nursery parents in the new year, once the application process has opened, although parents are more than welcome to attend on the above date.

Nursery Education

Children are admitted to Nursery in the September of the year they reach four.  Date of birth between 01.09.17 and 31.08.18. ; children who were born between 01.09.16-

Children join Oakridge Nursery at the beginning of the Autumn Term (in September) following Home Visits from staff. The maximum number of children for the Nursery session is 24.  Nursery provision is three hours per day; 8:45am to 11:45am.  This provides the 15 funded hours.  Wrap around care is also available from 11:45am onwards.

Children who are unable to attend the morning session in the Nursery are able to access Little Oaks after the morning Nursery session has finished. This service is available as soon as your child is 3 years of age, but funding would not be available until the first term after their third birthday. For example if your child was 3 in November they could attend Little Oaks as soon as they had turned 3 but payment would be required until the end of that term; funding is then available at the start of the next term in January.

The school also offers the full 30 hours Nursery provision - full details are available during our Open Mornings or by contacting the school office.  Further information on eligibility can be found by clicking here.

More information on times and prices are available in the Wrap around Care section of the website.
